Wex Photographic team has published a behind-the-scenes summary of the Workshop 451 lead by a street photographer Damien Demolder (more history of getting the space at the workshop here) I took part in recently. With the exclusive entry to the Periplum‘s performance group rehearsal before their next day show at the Norwich & Norforlk festival, our group met with Damien to discuss the preparation and shoot the scenes. Periplum have prepared a colourful and dynamic performance, with action shifting rapidly to different parts of the industrial area we were practising on. Damien advised on recommended camera settings suitable to night scenes with little light available and offered reviewing the photographs before the Perfiplum’s kicked off. Afterwards there was a lot of action chasing, I was often lying on the concrete floor to get the right and unusual angle showing the magnificency and grandness of the scenes evolving before your eyes, actors climbing the tall pols, dramatic smoke and lights surrounding their bodies, the mystery behind the characters. AFterwards the images have been sent to Damien, who added his feedback and editing suggestions. Overall, it was a great evening with a unique opportunity to meet other photographers at different stages and enjoy a fantastic performance 🙂
I hope you like the work, please feel free to leave the comments and suggestions and share it!
