A few weeks ago wonderful Shofna and Amran have celebrated their black and gold themed wedding in London and I provided them with wedding photographs for this great occasion. As for an Asian style wedding, the couple had their separate henna parties that started a few days prior the wedding day. During henna party, the future husband and wife have their hands and sometimes feet painted in wonderful patterns and spend time with their families before handling last wedding preparations.
When I met the bride in her home we worked on her getting ready time with the make up artist Rehanna, who took care of the bride and bridesmaids looks, as well as helped arranging the gorgeous but heavy dress and a head gown. The wonderful, rich jewellery and a dress made the bride look outstanding in the ancient Middle East-fairy tale-kind of way. After the preparation, we headed towards the venue and met the groom, who looked very fashionable in his black and gold attire and a golden turban. The Asian wedding photography of the day was to record a mere 500 guests’ affair, with a grand stage for a bride and groom’s arrival in front of the venue and a long table for the closest family. The exchange of rings and cutting the cake has been met with joy and a few dozen mobile phones that one has to be very savvy to avoid in order to make a good, focused and precise photograph that the couple would still enjoy and cherish in the future. Therefore, it is worth to inform your wedding guests about the separate time for official photographers and time for the friends and family to be immortalizing the scenes on their devices. It is a common situation at weddings and parties, live and let live. And let work 🙂
Thank you Shofna and Amran for choosing me as your photographer and all the best for the future together!
Because of the privacy agreement with the couple I only publish the below photos of the gown, jewellery and reception details. Enjoy!
